About Reelfoot Lake State Park
280 acres divided into ten sections surround Reelfoot Lake, a body of water formed within a much larger wildlife refuge covering 25,000 acres, most of it submerged. The refuge draws golden and American bald eagles along with a wide range of shorebirds, and bald cypress lines the lake's edges among other trees and shrubs. The park serves as a hunting and fishing preserve and also attracts visitors interested in its flowering and non-flowering plant life.
