About Bastrop State Park

Stands of loblolly pines cover much of this 2,054-acre tract, an isolated cluster of the trees separated from the main East Texas forests. Many of the buildings within the park were built in a rustic architectural style, reflecting the era of its construction. The park is also recognized as a certified site along the El Camino Real de los Tejas National Historic Trail, connecting it to the historic route once used to link Spanish colonial settlements.
