About Ricker Pond State Park
Ninety-five acres of water make up Ricker Pond, the lake at the center of this park, which sits off Vermont Route 232 within Groton State Forest, one of seven parks sharing that forest land. Crews of the Civilian Coast Corps built out the grounds in the 1930s, shaping public access to the pond for boating, paddling, fishing and swimming. The land also connects to trails used for horseback riding, hiking, mountain biking and cross-country skiing.
