About Beech Fork State Park

Ten miles south of Interstate 64's Hal Greer Exit, this park sits along the lower shoreline of Beech Fork Lake, a reservoir built by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers for flood control on the Beech Fork of Twelvepole Creek. Developed in the mid-1970s, it spans land in both Cabell and Wayne counties and has long drawn visitors from Barboursville and Huntington and the surrounding area.
