About Berkeley Springs State Park

A historic mineral spa sits at the center of this park, fed by warm springs long regarded for easing digestive trouble and relieving stress through bathing. Native Americans and George Washington both made use of these waters before the site became public land. The spa here is the only one in the country run directly by a state government, with operations handled by the West Virginia Division of Natural Resources.
