About Cacapon Resort State Park

6,115 acres cover the eastern slopes of Cacapon Mountain, land first opened to visitors in 1933. Within its boundaries sits Panorama Overlook, rising 2,320 feet above sea level, the highest point on the mountain. The park's terrain is defined by this ridge and its slopes, giving the land its shape and elevation range.
