About Tower Hill State Park

A reconstructed lead shot manufacturing tower stands at the center of this park, built on the site of the original Helena Shot Tower that operated from 1832 until 1860. That structure earned a place on the National Register of Historic Places in 1973. The park borders the Wisconsin River and adjoins state land that makes up the Lower Wisconsin State Riverway.
