About Natural Bridge State Park

A sandstone arch spanning Wisconsin's largest natural bridge shelters the Raddatz Rockshelter directly beneath it, a site once used by Paleo-Indians and now recognized on the National Register of Historic Places. The protected grounds cover 530 acres between the small communities of Leland and Denzer, in the town of Honey Creek southwest of Baraboo. The arch and the rock shelter together anchor the park's identity, tying its landscape to a long span of human use predating written record.
