About Hop River State Park Trail

20.8 miles of former rail bed run eastward from Colonial Drive in Manchester to the Air Line State Park Trail South in Windham, following the Hop River for much of that distance. The corridor is state owned, with towns and volunteer groups handling upkeep alongside the Connecticut Department of Energy and Environmental Protection. People use it for hiking, biking, horseback riding, and cross-country skiing.
