About Tallulah Gorge State Park
A gorge cut by the Tallulah River over centuries is the reason this land was set aside, with the canyon plunging 1,000 feet and stretching across the Rabun-Habersham county line. Within its 2,689 acres, the river drops 500 feet across a mile through six waterfalls known collectively as Tallulah Falls, the gorge's main draw.
