About Vogel State Park
Lake Trahlyta and surrounding woodland sit at the base of Blood Mountain within the Chattahoochee National Forest, covering 233 acres. The land was shaped largely by Civilian Corps labor during the 1930s, and much of what stands in the park today traces back to that construction period. It was one of the first two parks established when Georgia formed its state park system.
