About Janes Island State Park

The island itself is mostly undeveloped salt marsh bordering the Chesapeake Bay, cut through by about 30 miles of marked water trails. Paddlers follow these routes to reach isolated beaches that are otherwise hard to access by land. The Maryland Department of Natural Resources manages the property, which sits along the bay next to Crisfield.
