About Sandy Point State Park

A swimming beach draws more than a million visitors a year, sitting along the Chesapeake Bay at the western foot of the Bay Bridge. The grounds hold the Sandy Point Farmhouse, listed on the National Register of Historic Places, and offshore, about 1,000 yards east of the beach, the Sandy Point Shoal Lighthouse rises from roughly five feet of water.
