About Beaver Creek Valley State Park

A steep, narrow valley cut by East Beaver Creek forms the core of this park, with slopes dropping up to 250 feet through dense forest amid the surrounding farmland. The spring-fed creek holds native brook trout and introduced brown trout, drawing anglers to its cold water. Crews with the Works Progress Administration developed the site in the 1930s, and the surrounding terrain shows the stream-carved landscape typical of the Driftless Area.
