About Lake Louise State Park

A 25 acre man-made lake anchors 1,168 acres of mixed prairie and deciduous forest near Le Roy, close to the Iowa border and south of Rochester. The grounds support picnicking, swimming, camping, hiking, and horseback riding, and the area is known for butterfly watching, with some rare species recorded there. A picnic shelter built during the Public Works Administration era still stands on the property.
