About Whitewater State Park

Rocky bluffs rise over a stretch of the spring-fed Whitewater River, the land the 2,700-acre park was set aside to protect. Trout Run Creek joins the river within the park, and both waters draw anglers for trout fishing beneath the surrounding overlooks. Minnesota State Highway 74 runs directly through the grounds, and the park draws roughly 300,000 visitors a year.
