About Father Hennepin State Park
320 acres of shoreline on the southeast corner of Mille Lacs Lake make up this park, including a sandy beach that stretches over a mile long. It carries the name of Father Louis Hennepin, a priest who came through the region with a French expedition in 1680. The grounds hold 103 campsites along the lake.
