About Graham Cave State Park

Archaeological evidence found within a large sandstone cave here points to human presence dating back as far as 10,000 years, and the cave's entrance remains open for visitors to approach while interpretive signs explain what was discovered there. The opening measures 120 feet wide and 60 feet high, cutting about 100 feet into the hillside. Beyond the cave, the park covers 386 acres and includes an 82-acre natural area of sandstone and dolomite glades supporting a range of glade plant species. From Interstate 70, the cave entrance can be seen during months when the trees are bare.
