About Route 66 State Park

The Meramec River runs along the edge of land that once held the town of Times Beach, Missouri, before the community was relocated and the site became parkland in 1997. Trails for hiking, cycling, and horseback riding cross the 424 acres, along with picnicking areas and a boat ramp for river access. The layout traces the footprint of a town that no longer exists.
