About Cardigan Mountain State Park
A 5,655-acre tract of forest surrounds the bare granite summit of Mount Cardigan, which rises 3,121 feet and lacks the tree cover typical of the surrounding land. A hiking trail climbs to that treeless top, and picnic spots are set within the grounds. Use of the land carries no fee and access holds through every season.
