About Pisgah View State Park
205 acres form the core of a park still being assembled around the former Pisgah View Ranch, a roughly 1,600-acre property that includes rental cabins, equestrian trails, a swimming pool and tennis courts. The Cogburn family owned this land privately since the late 1700s, and the state secured an option to buy it over a five-year period, with the Southern Appalachian Highlands Conservancy raising $1 million toward the purchase and the Cogburns donating part of the land's value.
