About Cheraw State Park

Civilian Conservation Corps crews built the 300-acre Lake Juniper, which anchors this large park in the state's northeast corner. A championship 18-hole golf course draws visitors alongside the water, where catfish, bass, and bream can be caught and kayaks, canoes, and non-motorized joy boats are available for exploring the lake. Motorized boats up to 9.9 horsepower are permitted, and cabins overlooking the lake can be rented.
