About Montgomery Bell State Park

Wooded terrain shaped by the Nashville Basin gives the land elevations ranging from 580 to 860 feet, despite an official elevation listed at 758 feet. The 3,782 acre property offers boating, hiking, camping, fishing and golf year-round. It was built during the Great Depression by Works Progress Administration and Civilian Corps workers, named for iron industrialist Montgomery Bell, and is recognized as the birthplace of the Cumberland Presbyterian Church.
