About Machicomico State Park

Timberneck House, a residence built in 1793, still stands within the park's 645 acres. The land also holds an open-air interpretive pavilion dedicated to Virginia Indians, along with exhibits covering native history including that of the Powhatan Confederacy. Together these features focus the site on both an early Virginia dwelling and the region's indigenous heritage.
