About Machicomoco State Park

The Timberneck House anchors the property, a residence built in 1793 that still stands on the grounds. The park covers 645 acres along the York River area and includes an open-air interpretive pavilion focused on Virginia Indian history, along with additional exhibits addressing the Powhatan Confederacy. It was established in 2020, making it one of the newer additions to the state park system.
