About Staunton River Battlefield State Park

A former railroad depot in Randolph now serves as one of two visitor centers here, with exhibits on Native Americans and railroad history, while the Clover center covers the Civil War engagement fought on this ground and the local production of electric energy. The grounds span both Halifax and Charlotte counties along the Staunton River and take in the Mulberry Hill plantation, transferred to the state in 1999.
