About Davidsonville Historic State Park

The remains of Davidsonville, one of Arkansas Territory's earliest settlements founded in 1815, are preserved within this 163-acre park. The town grew as a river port on the Black River, sitting along the line where the Ozarks meet the Arkansas Delta, before it was abandoned and later set aside as parkland. A monument marking the former townsite was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1974.
