About Mammoth Spring State Park

A National Natural Landmark spring anchors this 62.5-acre park, which was built around it to give visitors a place for recreation and interpretation. Fishing, boating and hiking are available on the grounds, along with an Arkansas Welcome Center and a restored 1886 Kansas City, Fort Scott and Memphis Railroad depot that now operates as a railroad museum. The park was established in 1957 and continued expanding until 1975.
