About Portola Redwoods State Park

Protection here centers on old-growth redwood forest surrounding the confluence of Peters Creek, Pescadero Creek, and their tributaries, which meet within the park's boundaries. The land covers 2,800 acres of mixed terrain and waterways. Fall Creek, a tributary of Pescadero Creek, carries a small waterfall known as Tip Toe Falls, one of the park's identifiable features along its stream network.
