About Cherry Creek State Park

An 880-acre reservoir sits at the center of prairie and wetland terrain, open to powerboats, sailboats, and paddle craft, with a sand beach trucked in along its northeastern shore. Around the water, 12 miles of paved road and 35 miles of multi-use trail serve runners, cyclists, and horseback riders, alongside a shooting range and an area set aside for radio-controlled aircraft. A summer dock allows boat storage, jet skis, paddle boards, and kayaks are available to rent by the day, and a boathouse hosts concerts and serves food and drinks.
