About Indian Well State Park
Managed today by the state's Department of Energy and Environmental Protection, this 153-acre recreation area sits on the west bank of Lake Housatonic, a body of water formed by damming the Housatonic River, within the city limits of Shelton. The grounds include a 15-foot horsetail waterfall that drops into a splash pool at its base, giving visitors a scenic stop along the riverside land.
