About Wild River State Park

Eighteen miles of the St. Croix River form the spine of this park, with the land laid out in a long, narrow curve shaped somewhat like a sideways "S." Development is concentrated in the lower third, while the remote upper stretches border the mouth of the Sunrise River, a tributary. The park is managed for quieter, nature-focused recreation, set apart from the busier William O'Brien and Interstate State Parks downstream.
