About Straight Lake State Park
Logging-era travel once passed through here on what is now the Clam Falls Trail, an old abandoned road running roughly parallel to the Ice Age National Scenic Trail. The park spans 2,780 acres and is crossed by the Ice Age Trail, which follows Straight Lake's northern shore before tracing the Straight River through the Straight River Tunnel Channel. Together the two routes give a sense of both the area's glacial past and its working history.
