About Salty Brine State Beach

Named for a Rhode Island radio and television personality, this small stretch of ocean shore in the village of Galilee opened in 1954 under the name Galilee State Beach before its 1990 renaming. The property covers just over an acre and offers ocean swimming and saltwater fishing. A 2,800-square-foot beach pavilion and boardwalk were added in 2010.
